Smallmatek – Small Materials and Technologies, Ltd. is a Research and Development (R&D) company founded in 2010 by researchers from the University of Aveiro.
The company specializes in the development of multifunctional and micro/nanostructured additives capable of immobilizing, carrying, and releasing active compounds in a controlled manner. With a strong scientific and technological background, Smallmatek designs advanced solutions tailored to the specific needs of its clients.
The additives developed by the company can be incorporated into coatings and formulations, particularly for anticorrosion protection applications in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, maritime, and construction, contributing to more efficient and sustainable products.
At the same time, Smallmatek maintains a strong commitment to safety and environmental sustainability by providing environmental monitoring services, toxicity assessments, and support for environmental impact studies.
